Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Rutgers University

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Rutgers University (OLLI-RU) is for individuals over 50 who are looking for an opportunity to expand their horizons, learn in an engaging environment, and meet new friends. OLLI-RU offers noncredit education that is stimulating, friendly, and informal–there are no tests and no grades! You will be part of a learning community that is full of diversity, insight, wisdom, intellectual and cultural stimulation, and friendship.

Courses

Courses meet once a week for 90 minutes (with some exceptions) in New Brunswick (Rutgers Lifelong Learning Center, 3 Rutgers Plaza, New Brunswick) or Freehold (Brookdale Community College, 3680 Route 9 South, Freehold). Please visit our Directions page for detailed information on both locations, including parking information. Both facilities are completely accessible. OLLI-RU administrative offices are also located in New Brunswick at the Rutgers Lifelong Learning Center. 

OLLI-RU is proud to offer year-round programming, with two 10-week sessions (fall and spring), and two 5-week sessions (winter and summer). Our Important Dates page has detailed information regarding upcoming sessions. 

 

Registration

You can register for any course (five-week or ten-week) or one day seminar onlinevia regular mail (complete a registration form and mail with a check made payable to Rutgers University; one check per person), or in person at the OLLI-RU offices (3 Rutgers Plaza, New Brunswick). Trip registrations must be done by mail.If you are interested in registering online for the first time, we encourage you to create your username and password prior to the start of online registration. Emergency Closings

In the event that classes are cancelled at Rutgers University or Brookdale Community College, OLLI-RU classes are also cancelled.
