The Advisory Council provides assistance and non-binding advice to the Director on policies and practices impacting the program, including short- and long-term planning, classes, trips, tours, activities, classroom support, member services and communications, and other appropriate matters. The Council's critical volunteer service is primarily executed by attending six Council meetings throughout the year (in-person or zoom- every other month on Thursday mornings), and serving on at least one of three supplemental committees. In addition to attending meetings, members are expected to encourage enrollment in courses, recruit additional instructors, and promote the OLLI program through personal networking.
