Inclement Weather and Class Cancelations
We sometimes experience bad weather and a class needs to be canceled. We will post cancellation notices on our website, email students and instructors, and extend a given session to accommodate the missed time.
Class Cancelations due to low enrollment
We sometimes have to cancel a course due to low enrollment. We will inform each enrollee of the cancellation before the first session of the course begins. Attendees of the canceled course will be given the option to choose another course or a refund.
Transferring from a Class
All requests to transfer from a course must be verified in writing. Use our convenient form online to request a transfer at any point in the session, as long as space remains in your desired destination.
Photography/Videography
Rutgers Division of Continuing Studies celebrates lifelong learning for all ages and interests. To capture images and sounds of learners in action, we periodically photograph or film programs. By participating in programs held in New Brunswick (3 Rutgers Plaza) or Freehold (3680 Route 9 South), you agree to provide Rutgers permission to record your image and/or voice, and you agree to provide all rights for Rutgers to use those images and recordings for educational, promotional, or other purposes that support the mission of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. If you do not want your image or voice recorded, please notify the photographer or videographer.
Course Refund Policy
All requests for a refund must be made in writing. To request a refund, email us at olliregistrations@docs.rutgers.edu.
OLLI-RU Members can receive a full refund for courses that are 5 weeks or more by submitting a request before the start of the 4th class. For courses that are 2 weeks to 4 weeks in length, the request must be received before the start of the 2nd class. A member can receive a refund for a one-day class if we are notified in writing before the class takes place.
Non-Members: A full refund for multi-week courses (2 weeks or more) will be provided if the request is received before the start of the second class. Non-members are not eligible to receive a refund for a one-day class.
